England battled back to qualify for the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League as Harry Kane and Jesse Lingard scored late goals which is 2-1 triumph over Croatia, who were consigned from Group A4 after thrashing at Wembley on sunday.

England were themselves standing up to the drop when Croatia’s Andrei Kramaric scored after 57 minutes yet substitute Lingard and Kane netted in the 77th and 85th minutes at. A vociferous Wembleyto turn the group on it’s head.

Gareth Southgate’s side, who were thumped out in the semi-finals of the World Glass by Croatia in July, had commanded for huge periods yet fell behind when Kramaric wandered aimlessly before terminating in through a diversion off Eric Dier.

Yet Lingar poked home and Kane converted Ben Chilwell’s free kick to ensure England finished top of a group where all three teams — including Spain who started the day top but finished second — could have qualified.
